Wordpress for iPhone

Right now I am posting from the awesome Wordpress app for the iPhone.

You can even take photos and put ones from your library into the post very easily. This will be very very handy when I am out and about and I need to get around and blog. As you use the iPhone typing gets much easier so it doesn’t worry me so much.

An Update

So I have got a quite a bit done in the last few days. To aid the theme work, I used a free Wordpress theme as my base to get everything rolling and basically changed everything off of that. It’s been quite tough, but so far, everything is going together nicely. After the main design work is over and the site is working, I will be able to reinstall all my plugins back and get the more advanced stuff in the sidebar and what not.

Little work will be done this weekend, as I am going to England for the weekend. I might find some time to do stuff if I install Wordpress on my MacBook, which will let me do this offline, which will be handy.

Doesn’t help that I have forgotten a lot of what I learnt last time doing CSS .

Just testing this posting service from Six Apart, called Blog It. Basically you can add a load of accounts to this service such as Twitter and a Wordpress site etc and update from anywhere.

Anyway this is pretty cool as they have an iPhone version, which is even cooler!

TechRave Starts Once Again

So yesterday all my exams finished, and now I have 3 months to get TechRaveNews back up after the great loss of February this year. I have found an old copy of the theme (an early revision, needs a lot of work) and I can mostly redesign the site off that, which is handy as I should be able to get everything up a bit quicker.

My podcasting kit has been updated from the old cheap headset microphone, to a Red5 Audio RV6 condenser mic, an Alesis Mixer and a nice looking Anglepoise Mic Stand. Check out the setup on my Flickr account.

It is a nice feeling to know that there is no coursework or revision or pretty much anything to do now before September. I might be finding some work (I need the money, might be getting an iMac or Mac Pro) so I won’t be here 24/7, but I will have a LOT more time.

Watch out for changes as the site goes up and down and everything in between. Hopefully, we shall be relaunching as soon as we can!

A slight word on what happened…

The whole site was killed. By a termination that was never meant to happen.

I have backups. But I am going to start from fresh. This June after my exams.
